Unlimited Opportunities

 Image result for curriculum research
Research is a time-consuming, expensive, and sometimes fruitless opportunity to find results to a hypothesis. However, if the means and knowledge to conduct research studies was presented to me so that I was able to study any topic in the field with no restrictions of reality, I believe that my topic would circle around the idea of curriculum and find curriculum is the most beneficial for scholars. With this topic, I would seek to find a plethora of control groups in a variety of districts so that results could not be skewed as well as employing individuals just for the sole purpose of observing and recording results. I would aim to find the most effective type of curriculum so that every student may be serviced in the most efficient way possible. This will also ensure that training is conclusive and conductive to servicing the students so that there are no gaps in the reception of the curriculum. When teachers and administration are trained properly, then the curriculum becomes efficient. In order to have successful students, their education must be properly researched and data-driven.

  1. Emily,
Yes, research is very time-consuming but the results at the end can be so great at times. Just imagine if you did do the research that you are discussing with the curriculum how much it could affect the learning process of these students. I know on my blog I discussed a research that my classroom did for our children with special needs. We were hoping to get a curriculum that uses I-pads and smart boards to help with the learning process. We were afraid that the children with autism might have a hard time taking in something new but they accepted this curriculum with so much excitement that we were so excited to begin using it. Research can help out with so many different things and I am glad that we have it.

  2. Emily,

I think a lot of research is going to be very time consuming but when looking at the end result the hard work seems worth it. As teachers and childcare professionals, we must take this time and invest it within our students. I think if the risk factors are limited and the overall outcome will have more positive benefits rather than negative results the research will be worth it. We must make highly educated decisions when considering using children within a research study. Great post.
